Five minutes of fame

Mr. Right was selected from the audience at Disney to be in this skit.

Now that I see it, I totally get why.

He was made for the part (first on the left).
Two thumbs up dude, way up!

Being a responsible adult

There comes a time in your adult life when you have to decide between things like, projects at work, and going to Disney with your family. I actually chose the project this time and didn't go to Disney. In my defense, it was a REALLY important high profile project. They don't come along that often. I've learned from Dooce not to blog about work specifics, so enough said.

Also, it didn't suck being at home alone for 5 days with nobody to clean up after.

Can you imagine?

Hell to the yeah I got a pedicure!

I do love this picture though, it was meant to be something else (to include the background) but I love it. Does ANYONE know where I can get this hat replaced? Daddy managed to lose it on the way home.

The real Oliver

Oliver nonchalantly trying to work the screen open from inside the house while I'm outside on the deck. I love his technique of trying to distract me with I love you mommy eye contact.

He thinks I'm stupid, but the whole time I know he is after this behind me:

A dove couple, in the spring, performing non PG rated acts on my deck. Admission was free.

Yes, I know... the deck needs to be refinished. It's on the list.

I am a snap dragon

I went back and took the quiz again that I got from Fluffy Windover. Now it makes more sense. I'm not sure what my answers were the first time and why I came out a violet, but whatever. Not that I have anything against violets.

"Mischief is your middle name, but your first is friend. You are quite the prankster that loves to make other people laugh."

I miss you

I could not let this day go by without mentioning that today, April 1st, would have been Smokey's 19th birthday.

Yes, cat's live that long and longer. So, each one that goes by where he could have been alive is especially sad.

I still miss him just as much as the first day he left. It will always suck, but I have reached a point now where I'm glad it sucks. I'm glad I'm the one who gets to miss him. I was very lucky. He was so special.

Smokey - I hope you are waiting for me in heaven. Be sure to hunt, catch, and eat all the birds and mice you want while you are waiting for me. I miss you.
